1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ChessMem ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

ChessMem is a chess opening trainer that helps users learn and memorise chess openings through spaced repetition practice. The Service is available via web browser and mobile applications.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features, you may need to create an account using Google Sign-In. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your account
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us of any unauthorised use

4. Subscription Plans and Payments

ChessMem offers free and premium subscription options:

• Free: Limited to 5 practices per day
• Monthly: Unlimited practices, billed monthly
• Annual: Unlimited practices, billed yearly
• Lifetime: Unlimited practices, one-time payment

Payments are processed securely via Stripe (web) or App Store/Google Play (mobile apps).

5. Lifetime Membership

"Lifetime" means the lifetime of the Service, not the lifetime of the subscriber.

Lifetime membership provides access to premium features for as long as ChessMem continues to operate. We reserve the right to discontinue the Service at any time. In the event of discontinuation:

• No refunds will be issued for lifetime memberships
• We will provide reasonable notice where possible
• Access will continue until the Service closes

6. Refund Policy

• Monthly/Annual: Refunds available within 14 days of purchase if unused
• Lifetime: Refunds available within 14 days of purchase
• App Store purchases: Subject to Apple/Google refund policies

7. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time:

• Web subscriptions: Via your account settings
• App Store: Via iOS Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions
• Google Play: Via Play Store > Subscriptions

Upon cancellation, you retain access until the end of your current billing period.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Share your account credentials with others
• Attempt to bypass usage limits or payment systems
• Reverse engineer or copy the Service
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose

9. Intellectual Property

All content, design, and code of ChessMem is owned by us or our licensors. Chess opening data is compiled from public sources. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our proprietary content without permission.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

• Uninterrupted or error-free operation
• That the Service will meet your specific requirements
• The accuracy of chess opening information

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. Material changes will be notified via email or in-app notification.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
